Her Modern Day KnightSep 11, 2010
By Talvi Choko and Domoto's relationship deepens - and Choki discovers that nearly everything Domoto has done since leaving the Kuze mansion has been to help give back the Kuze fortune. But Choko's parents are happy - and a subdivision has been built on the Kuze family estate. Will Choko be able to make Domoto understand that what makes her happy isn't the past - but her present with her protector Knight.
Yuki Yoshihara's sweet and funny love story continues. Choko will still need being saved and Domoto will continue to rush in to save her - all the while making sure she doesn't lose the Kuze dignity and honor.
The story will end on a great note - well worth buying the entire series!

It's business as usual for Masayuki and Choko - or should I say funny business? Choko Is working overtime, and so is he - at getting her to have second time sex with him! Good thing they are alone in the office!
An unexpected phone call puts a stop to any such activities when Masayuki is summoned to the side of the President of the company, to Choko's chagrin. The next day, Choko learns more about the reclusive President from others at the office - such as his demands that his personal assistant be with him 24/7, and she must be a pretty girl, and when he tires of one, he gets another. And he never comes into the office. As if on cue, Masayuki arrives, in the company of the President, who turns out to be none other than the guy who harassed and kissed Choko at Makie's group date! He orders Choko to bring them water to his private office. There President Yanagi reveals that he wants a new assistant - Choko!
Masayuki refuses, defending Choko, but a diversionary tactic on Yanagi's part permits the President to kidnap her. When she protests, he threatens to destroy Masayuki! Yanagi takes a frightened Choko to his mansion, after stopping to pick up her things from her home, only to find that Masayuki has arrived first and installed himself as the butler, intending to run the office from there in order to protect Choko.
Yanagi suspects that Masayuki's plans to buy the land which was once Choko's parents, and start his own company - he prefers that he marries his niece Makie instead, and that hestays with the company. Choko adamantly insists that Masayuki is hers! Yanagi replies that he likes gutsy women. Masayuki then blasts his way into the room (Yanagi had locked the door), and an argument ensues between the two men - concerning Choko's nether regions (very embarrassing for her). Yanagi finally proposes a challenge - if Masayuki can protect Choko's nether regions for the next three days, he can leave the company and start his own; if he fails, then he has to give up the idea. Masayuki agrees and the three days begin!
Safely back in the office, it's almost Valentine's Day, that most prized day when Japanese women give chocolate to the men in their lives. Choko feels that something is wrong with the way that Masayuki is behaving. He has promised to stop sexually harassing her, but it seems that the other behaviors she liked from him are not forthcoming either, and she finds that she misses them. Are they growing estranged already, or is this something a little communication could fix? When she, and the others, help Masayuki move to a larger apartment in his same building, she learns a lot about him from the things he owns, many of which pertain to her. And then he asks her . . .
The fourth volume in the Butterflies, Flowers series more than continues in the same excellent vein as its predecessors. The relationship between Choko and Masayuki is deepening, to say the least, and growing. The subplot with President Yanagi is an interesting twist to their dynamics, and reveals information concerning his and Masayuki's past, during the time after Masayuki had to leave Choko.
I love the ongoing running gag about Choko's brother, the less than bright Mikihiko, who has a crush on Suoh, unaware that she is a he. I wonder if someday he'll find out the truth, and if by then he'll even care! Yuki Yoshihara's artwork is as fabulous as ever, from the most romantic moments to the most chibi! Choko is still innocent in many ways, but she is rapidly developing into a woman, under Masayuki's tutelage. The more she learns about him, including things he didn't necessarily want her to know about the things he did for her sake, which reveal his intention to find her again someday, make her love him all the more.
This has to be the most romantic shojo ever! Seeing Masayuki, dressed like a butler, kneeling at Choko's feet, calling her Milady - gave me definite goosebumps! He is extremely gorgeous, and they make such a cute couple! I just cannot say enough good things about this manga. It's a must-have for everyone that loves shojo! I can't wait for the next volume, to find out what Choko's reply is!
