Claymore Volume 15: Manga Review
By Norihigo Yagi
Grade: A
These sixth month breaks between volumes have been getting on my nerves-so much that I actaully hadn't read Claymore in about 16 months. But for the release of volume 15 I took a step back and read volumes 1-11 over again, read volumes 12-14 for the first time, and immedietly picked up volume 15 the day of it's release. Was it worth the wait? In every possible sense: yes! Yagi has already proven that he is a master artist and storyteller, but he comes through in this volume-he gives what us Claymore have been craving for so long-answers.
First of all though-the return of Raki! After a dissapearance that spanned nearly 8 volumes, we finally get to see him...seven years later. But that's not the only answer we get-there are a ton more. I won't spoil them for you, but I will tell you some of the questions that get answered:
When did the shady "organisation" and their breed of Claymores even start?
Why do Claymores' swords seem immpossible to break?
What has Priscilla been doing this whole time?
What will happen to Galatea?
What happened to Luciela and Rafeala?
What has Riful been up to lately?
There are many other questions answered too, but basically it all comes down to two main things-the history of the Claymore's, and Raki's return. It all rounds up to a ton of answers (yes, that does mean the action takes a break for a while) more of Yagi's amazing art, (there are some truly fantastic scenes in this volume) and an overall excellent volume and addition to the Claymore series worth buying. (Even with the publishers new 9.99 price, up from 7.99...)
The next volume is due in June 2010, but with all the answers provided here, I think I'll make it.

This volume has been worth the wait.Nov 13, 2009
By Joshua Westlotorn This was definately a good read, but you must absolutely need to have read the previous volumes beforehand. This plot steamrolls all the others before it and finally give you explinations to a lot of questions. More arise, of course, however you are given a sense of stability since you get more answers than new questions.
Plus it is nice to finally see Raki return, since he's been excluded for such a long time, except for a small cameo in a previous volume (11 or 12 I think...) but if you are a Claymore Fan, this shall not disappoint.
