A real summaryApr 01, 2007
By J. Fujino
"bookworm"
In case you haven't figured out they accidentally posted Busou Renkin's summary instead of Claymore Volume 7's. Here, straight from the back of the book:
Fit For Battle Fearing that she's no match for the deadly Claymore named Ophelia, Clare spirits her companion Raki away to relative safety. But no matter how far they run they won't be able to escape Ophelia's heightened senses. And now that Ophelia knows that Clare has awakened, she will not rest until she has destroyed Clare.
Technically I believe Shonen Jump did make one mistake since Clare isn't awakened but in a intermediate state, but oh well. The point is that there's plenty of action as we've all come to expect, but also major plot surprises and developments that make this one you mustn't miss. P.S. (small spoiler) If you were disappointed earlier by Clare's poor rank than buy it because it gets a whole lot more interesting during this volume.
Also a small complaint to Amazon who made me do this whole review over because they deleted the original I did before weeks before it was to come out (the internet sure is a gold mine, especially if you can speak Japanese) pointing out and correcting the mistake mentioned above: Why can't you fix your own mistake instead of screwing with reviews that are genuinely trying to HELP people here.

Shonen Jump AdvancedJun 10, 2007
By Amanda Jean
"They say that only very good friends quarrel. But at the end of the day a quarrel is a fight between two people's egos."
I first discovered this particular title in a Shonen Jump preview. I liked it, but I wasn't sure if I liked it enough to buy it. I did end up buying it though as a last resort. The bookstore didn't happen to have any of the titles I wanted in stock that day so I bought the first two volumes of Claymore instead. Eversince I just can't stop buying them.
Originally I thought Claymore was a little mainstream plot wise, but as the storyline progressed it got a whole lot complicated. The author really started to explain what Claymores really are and Clare's bloody past. It was interesting.
In the last couple volumes of Claymore it really gets really interesting and even more difficult to put down. You are introduced to 3 more claymores, Miria, Helen, and Deneve. The 3 of them plus Clare are sent to take care of an awakened one. After all is said and done the one thing all three of these claymores have in common is that they all have almost awakened. What's said after that is what really catches you off guard.
It is an awesome read. The art style is also beautiful. It has a nice tone, balance and, look to it. I would defiantly reccomend this title and if you get the chance I'd reccomend the new anime that just came out for this title.

Fit for BattleJan 23, 2011
By Esther Claymores can't kill humans because of an iron clad rule the Organization upholds. But what happens when Clare crosses path with Ophelia, a Claymore that does not hesitate to raise her sword against man and Clare herself?
Especially when that Claymore is x10000000 stronger than Clare?
This is a very pivotal volume. As events swirl, something changes the course of Clare's strength, and something shocking happens to Ophelia... and someone from the past makes a surprise appearance.
This volume is definitely not to be missed. A must read!
I remember waiting for this to come out in 2007 & buying it immediately because I was so anxious to find out what happened between Ophelia and Clare from volume six. Worth every cent!
