Very nice!Nov 21, 2009
By K. McClung I picked up this manga the other day and was sucked into the storyline. The art is beautiful, the characters have depth and are interesting. I can't wait to read the next volume!

Prelude of darker things...Jul 14, 2010
By Cougie I picked this volume up after reading Dogs: Bullets & Carnage vol.1 and still find myself wanting more to this darkly humorous saga. Prelude does a great job of giving us just enough backstory while leaving plenty still to unfold. The tragic life of a mafia enforcer, the Stockholm syndrome infused training of a swordswoman, and more on the exploits of mysterious Hiene and eight-pack-a-day Badou. Good read for the kiss-kiss, bang-bang fanatics.
Wonderful Graphic NovelMar 11, 2012
By Roger P. Royer This was one of the most interesting Graphic Novel I have read in years and I will probably be picking up the series as soon as I can after reading others books.
I enjoyed the introduction to the main "Dogs" characters and am very glad that this made it's way out of a storage box from moving to being read. I loved the contrast and art though I would love to see it in color. Black and white does a lot for some books of this nature but when it comes to this I would love to see the way it would look in color.
This is definitely a good read and I recommend it to all my manga and anime friends. This is a very R rated book though so no kids.
