In the midst of a heated battle, Takiko is transported back to her own world. There, all the problems she escaped through her father's book are waiting for her: her mother's funeral, her father's disapproval, and her reunion with Mr. Ohsugi, her first love. But with the wisdom and strength she's found as the Priestess of Genbu, Takiko knows what she has to do. 5it's awesomeMar 29, 2007

I'm a fan of old school fushigi yugi, but Takiko is such a better character than Miaka. She's braver, can actually defend herself with a b*tchin naginata, and doesn't whine. She has so much more motivation too. Miaka just had school problems and a fight with moms. Takiko is fine in school, but with a dead moms and a dad that doesn't want her. much more tragic. I have very high expectations for the series. It feels more grown up than FY; I wish it was like this the first time around!! the only bad thing is that by the time I discovered the first FY, all the books and anime had already come out. Now I have to wait to finish Genbu!!!! ARGH!!! but I'll be right there, no matter how long it takes. that's how good this series is. don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise. they're just lying to themselves.

this is another installment of yu watase's FY: GK. this, like the other genbu's, is sure to not disappoint. it keeps the reader @ the edge of her/his seat and won't let go. worth the read...by far!! if u are a yu watase fan, u are likely to enjoy this manga.

I love every anime created by Watase Yuu, especially Fushigi Yuugi. Even though I finished reading the first original Fushigi Yuugi, I have to read this anime again. I love it!
When Watase started writing another version of this anime, I was so excited. After I read this (Genbu Kaiden), I love Takiko and Rimudo so much. I want both of them be together at the end.
This anime is awesome!

This book continues the popular Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden series. Takiko's relationship with her warrior, Uruki, continues to bloom. Meanwhile, Hikitsu and Tomite have the chance to begin repairing their damaged friendship. Also, a new warrior, Iname, appears!
