Get on Tachibana's bad side, and life becomes hell. When Hatsumi has to buy a pregnancy test because her popular sister Akane is late, Mrs. Tachibana's son, Ryoki, who used to bully Hatsumi as a kid, promises not to tell the world about Hatsumi's secret, only if she becomes his slave. Suddenly Azusa, Hatsumi's protector in their youth, reappears to save her again! He's moving back into the neighborhood! Despite the budding romance between Hatsumi and Azusa, Ryoki has control over her through the secret that could ruin the lives of everyone in Hatsumi's family, and he hasn't forgotten who his slave is!

5Enslave thy neighbor...part 4Oct 20, 2005
By Karusichan "Karusichan"

A confrontation with Azusa after the revelations of his mother's affair (and the attempted gang rape of Hatsumi) leaves Hatsumi with mixed feelings about him. She struggles with the residual feelings of love for him even as Ryoki still persists in his attempt to make her his girlfriend, despite her refusal. Suddenly the whole complex is ignoring the Narita family as well, and Hatsumi thinks it's because she refused Ryoki. At first she decides to submit to him to smooth everything over, but he has a different idea in mind and asks Shinogu, Hatsumi's older brother, to be his private tutor. He doesn't really need it, he is just looking for any excuse to be closer to Hatsumi and to resolve her family being ostracized. Suddenly her feelings about him are becoming, well, less defined as hatred and nearer to something approaching love, but her brother has too much concern over this sudden development in her attitude... and on top over all of that Akane, Hatsumi's younger sister, is trying to cope with her feelings of love for Subaru... It's just one confusing romance after another.

Read this manga... I am not kidding you. The plot is wonderful, the art is wonderful, it is just what you are looking for if you crave a good Shojo manga.

5Another Perfect VolumeJul 07, 2005
By Hakajin "Ecclectic Student"
After what Azusa did to Hatsumi, you'd think she'd hate him, but somehow, she just can't. Ryoki however, doesn't seem to have this problem.

Something happens to make everyone in the complex ignore Hatsumi's family. Fortunately, Ryoki has a plan to endear the Naritas to his mother . . . And is Hatsumi finally starting to fall for Ryoki?

Also, Akane confesses her love to Subaru, but how will this Otaku nerd react?

This is a great volume. The shock of volume 3 is over, but the aftershock is just as engrossing. If you loved the previous books, you'll love this one too.

5Hot Gimmick is stick to its title--it really is HOTOct 06, 2004
By booklovers "avidreadersbooklovers"
I fell at the beginning that some of the characters are twisted in this story.

Yet, that's what make them so unique and original. The characters in this manga will left strong impression on you.

Hatsumi, the main character is a kind hearted girl but also a pushover girl who cant stand up and got tongue tied in nasty situation. So, when her long time no see childhood neighboor Ryoki showed up his nose and start bullying her, she cant do anything but abide by his rule. He makes her his slave and order her around as he holds his power over her (a secret-- he saw Hatsumi purchased a home pregnancy test for her little sister who's still in Junior High School). Threatened by Ryoki Tachibana promised to tell his mom--Mrs. Tachibana (who is by the way holds position like the Queen of the employee complex where they all living because her husband is a director), Hatsumi can only agree to be his slave, cause she didn't want her family get in trouble with the Tachibana family.

To complicate things, there are many other people that involve in this twisted but exciting story line.
Atsuza, Hatsumi childhood friend come into the picture and try to rescue Hatsumi from the evil Ryoki, he act so kind that Hatsumi cant help but falling in like with atsuza who also is a model. But to make matter worse, atsuza aliby in doing those stuff is because he has a plot of revenge against Hatsumis's father due to somehting that happen in the past.

While plotting to do something bad to her (try to gang up some his model friends to rape Hatsumi), Ryoki comes to the resue. It seemed that Ryoki slowly turn to be in love with Hatsumi after all. Hatsumi fell all overwhelmed with all that happening in her life and confused with the sudden change in treatment that she received from Ryoki.

So, do u think that their romace (Ryoki and Hatsumi) works out in the end?
I think you should find out for yourself cause I've spilled too much juicy information alreasy (*wink* *wink* ;) )

4Hot Gimmick a must read!Sep 22, 2011
By Jess Romero
By truth I actualy pick up this book for something new to read I did a little research to find out if the reviews were good for this series and they were. And I happy I did because it wasn't a let down it's actualy a very good manga great story from begging to end even though by truth, know I would have chosen another guy but I'll get to that later. But back to the book it was my first time buying such a large book it was actualy 3 in 1 which is nice saves me some room I rather have 4 large ones than 12 I already have to many as it is. But the only problem I have was at the beginning with the first book sometimes the way they spoke was a little dated and kinda forced to sound young but that was the only thing. The main charter wad very like able actualy alot of them were even people who are saposed to be the villians you can't help to grow to like them and people who are in all appearances are good are actualy bad than become good again pertty good plot. In short the heroin in this story hatsumi and how she thinks is her enemy her fathers boss's son who is her neighbor ryoki a bully from her childhood but actualy secretly like her for years it's that hole school kid thing you pick on the one you like. But hatsumi assumed hero azusa comes to her rescue under false pretensess. Know if you have read the book but if you hadnt don't read this part but to make this part short Azusa trys to get revenge on hatsumi father through her by gang raping her with a few of his model friends. If i was her i couldn't forgive him for doing that god he could have killed her I think I would want my own revenge on him cause he was going to let it happen. But she forgives him and becomes friends with him again and her old enemy was actualy the one who saved her ryoki than he becomes her boyfriend kind of. More trouble arises since his mother dosent approve of the match and gives her family hell. Even exposing hatsumi brother was actualy adopted which I don't get what the big deal for her that he was adopted that they were that hiding it, it's really no one business and who'd care know a days. Shinogu whos her bother secretly been in love with her all these years. I think he
should have told her years ago if he was so in love than he probably wouldnt be in such a situation. Well she only see him as a
brother and is falling fast in love with ryoki how she ends up choosing. But not until they find out it was ryoki father that Azusa
should be getting the revenge on. Poor hatsumi father how was the decoy that ryoki father used and he had the nerve to treat him
by sending him away for long period of time from his family how he actualy wants to see. He might have gotten payed for doing it
but still you would treat him better so he dosent blab. Well I've already read the book series about three times now which gave me
time to think it through at first I was on team ryoki side he wasn't so bad and he still isn't even though I don't think I wouldn't stick
with a guy that slap me and tells me what to do everytime I see him and calls me a names. But I do think he loves her and she
might be good for him. But after reading it again and I think I probably would have chose shinogu he was just the better guy in all
ways. I know he's her brother and that did gross me out and I still not 100% about it. And I have no words for him becoming a
monk I so did not see that coming. And at the end of the book I didn't feel like it was the end Azusa says he's going to interfere in
hatsumi relationship and to get her with shinogu I would have like to see how that would have come to be. That's probably one of
the reasons I didn't give it a full 5 stars I wanted more.

So I would recommend this everyone a must read.
