Historical Action And Romance From One of Japan's Most Beloved Creators Kagome is a modern Japanese high school girl. Never the type to believe in myths and legends, her world view dramatically changes when, one day, she's pulled out of her own time and into another! There, in Japan's ancient past, Kagome discovers more than a few of those dusty old legends are true, and that her destiny is linked to one legendary creature in particular--the dog-like half-demon called Inuyasha! That same trick of fate also ties them both to the Shikon Jewel, or "Jewel of Four Souls." But demons beware...the smallest shard of the Shikon Jewel can give the user unimaginable power. | | | Product Details: | | | Author:

Has some goofs, but still goodAug 20, 2009

I picked this up today, in reading through it I noticed a couple of goofs, on page 31 they have the page header 39 INU-YASHA in the middle of the page partially over 2 panels of Sango & Sango & Miroku, thankfully it's at the bottom of the panel, they just missed covering Sango's chin in the 1st panel though. The 2nd oddity is that they have a new goofed up spelling for Inuyasha's sword, instead of the already goofed up Tetsusaiga (it's Tessaiga in the original Japanese version) it's now spelled Tetsuisaiga from page 136 on (which is like 3 pages into scroll 8), really odd that it's the normal goofed up version until then & from scroll 8 on it's a different goofed up version. VIZ really needs better editors/proofreaders or something.
This book ends on a bit of a cliffy, the good thing is that I think they released both 39 & 40 at the same time so you can read the next volume right away & find out what happens next.

ANother great installment in the Inuyasha manga series. The story remains engaging and the characters as likable as ever. As the series progresses more twists and turns are introduced. THis series is highly enjoyable and leaves you wanting more. A must have for fantasy, romance and action fans.
