Crazy for Inubaka!Sep 25, 2008
By A. Cosenzo This comic series is goofy, silly, and unreasonably entertaining. Somehow it manages to be better than the sum of its parts. If you like both dogs and comedy, you will probably love it - it has a very wide appeal.
In each volume, Sugiru meets someone who needs her help, usually because they come into the pet store where she works. Their problems seem to revolve around dogs, but usually they go far deeper than that. While helping them with their dog problems, Sugiru often changes their life in the process, often maturing a bit herself along the way.
Unlike many manga series involving animals, Inubaka is also surprisingly accurate when it comes to dogs.
The episodic nature of the series makes it more enjoyable because it's easy to read, have fun, and then put down. This is the most enjoyable manga I've read in a long time!

Best of BreedJan 21, 2008
By Denny Dukes The Inubaka series is fantastic, a lot of fun. Truly one of the best manga out there. It's a great idea, stories about pet owners. Initially I wondered what could really be done with that, but the series has shown a fun variety of tales (tails?). The art is great, with Suguri (the main character) being especially cute. Book six is especially good, with some great scenes. I wish more manga was as good as this book. I think pet owners will get even more enjoyment out of it, as you see some familiar pet antics. Highly recommended.

Sit! Stay! Read this Manga!Aug 21, 2008
By N. Wellsfry Inubaka is a great manga for dog lovers. It is hilarious, cute, and exciting. Inubaka is about Suguri a girl, and her mutt Lupin. She seems to have a special connection with dogs. That is why she was hired at The Woofles Pet Shop. She is a bit quirky, but she is fun! This is a great manga, probably for kids 13+. Hope I helped.
Who let the dogs out?Sep 30, 2010
By Growly Are you crazy for dogs? This manga is for you!
The art is clear, easy to read, and well-drawn. The story is enjoyable and absolutely adorable, I am seriously enjoying it so far. I was burned out on manga for years, then I picked this up on a whim in the bookstore and was immediately won over by the charming art. This book doesn't over-glamorize the pet industry either, or try to unreasonably anthromorphize the dogs, which I truly appreciate as a canine aficionado. I recommend it!
