5My child loves it.Aug 13, 2009
The series is pretty good and I enjoy as well as my daughter who I bought it for.

4Started my love for animeJul 17, 2009
When I was a teenager in high school I wasn't a big anime fan. I used to joke that all the drawings looked the same and were drawn by the same guy. I used to joke, saying Japan would be in trouble when that guy died, cause they'd have no one to draw their cartoons. I now proudly admit I was wrong and too hasty in my judgment.

One night I was flipping channels and I caught an episode of Inuyasha. I watched it because there was nothing better on. The next day I watched the next episode, then the next, then the next and before I knew it I was hooked. Soon I started watching more and more anime. Now I love anime and will gladly take Japanese animation over live action Hollywood any day. What I like about Inuyasha (and anime in general) is that the Japanese have learned that animation is for anyone, unlike here where mainstream society still looks at animation as something meant for kids. It seems only sitcoms have been accepted as adult animation (The Simpsons, Family Guy, ect.) but animation, like live action can encompass any genre, which Inuyasha does beautifully. It's a wonderful mix of fantasy, drama, comedy, action and romance without being re-edited to suit the 6 to 12 year old audience that most of these shows go through when their "Americanized". In this show, when characters get hurt they're hurt and sometimes bleed. When a character dies, they die instead of being banished to the realm of total losers or something dumb like that because (it's a cartoon for kids so we dare not mention death). More importantly, Inuyasha has well developed characters, not villains that want to take over the world because they're the bad guys, thats what they do; or characters who are in love being toned down to platonic friendships because (it's a cartoon for kids so we dare not show love).

Inuyasha opened my eyes to the world of anime and manga. After I started watching the show, I bought the mangas. Now I'm hooked and I'd gladly recommend this title to anyone who loves good drama, rich characters and a compelling story. I'm glad I bought these in the states (I live in Canada and ordered them from here because I bought both seasons 1 & 2 for $112 [after taxes, shipping and duty] which is still cheaper than it would have been to buy it up here [most retailers, even Amazon.ca, wanted about $70 to $120 for just one season] and that was before tax).

5Inuyasha is a classic Anime!Jul 16, 2009
I for one don't like a lot of anime; but only have a select few favorites... one being Inuyasha. That is because I like Inuyasha for it's unique story and great cast of characters; not to mention the style and genre the anime fits into my personallity!

I mean they don't call this show a fuedal fairy tale for nothing you know! That's why I love it so much; it has lots of sword swinging action in fuedal Japan, romance between the 3 key characters Inuyasha, Kikyo, & Kagome, and a bunch of LOL comedy with the other characters!

Season 1 of Inuyasha is one of my favorite seasons because it's the season that started it all! My especially favorite episodes are of when we first meet Seesshomaru looking for Inuyasha's sword, Shippo and the Thunder Bros always makes me LOL big time, Kikyo being resurected, Miroku joins the group, and many others when we first meet Naraku & Sango!

Plus I think it's just great to have the entire Inuyasha Seasons on DVD; since you don't have to worry about having them recorded on your old VHS tapes! That is because I'm a collector; & I love having DVD's of all of my favorite shows & movies!

5Inuyasha is AMAZING!Jul 01, 2009
Inuyasha is a great series! In fact, it was the first anime i really got into. Inuyasha is about a girl named kagome Higurashi, an average ninth grader that gets pulled into an ancient well in their shrine by a demon. When she gets herself out of the well, bringing her 500 years into the past to the fuedal era, she finds a boy pinned to a tree by a sacred arrow. There she meets Inuyasha, a half-demon who seeks for the Shikon Jewel to make himself a full fledged demon. With Inuyasha and her new friends, Kagome's search for the Jewel of Four Souls begins. ITS AN AMAZING ANIME!!! You ABSOLUTLEY have to buy this if you are an anime fan! You just have too!

5InuyashaJan 25, 2009
I have been a fan of Inuyasha for a while. I was reading the manga before it's premier on Adult Swim.
If you like the show and hate the way Adult Swim has been moving it around (and eventually removing it) then this is probably the box set to get. No longer are there only three epps a DVD but you get 5 and a few of the standard extras.
With it dropping in price to around 45(ish) there is no reason not to own this show.
