The second VIZBIG volume of a great manga seriesMar 28, 2011
By Lesley Aeschliman This second volume of the Inuyasha 3-in-1 VIZBIG edition includes volumes four through six of the original Inuyasha manga. Ths volume includes one of my favorite stories from Inuyasha (the one about the girl Mayu who died in a fire and her spirit is haunting her brother's hospital room to trying to kill him, and how Kagome tries to help this lost spirit find peace). In addition to this, we also see Kagoma, Inuyasha, and Shippo fighting with the the Thunder Brothers, we learn a secret about Inuyasha that affects him every new moon, the resurrection of the priestess Kikyo, the introduction of the lecherous monk Miroku, and the group must deal with an artist who can conjure demons.
When this volume was put together, Viz did something right - the book is presented in its original Japanese format, instead of being flipped like Viz's release of the original volumes of this manga. Rumiko Takahashi's art is fantastic in this volume. However, it should be noted that there are occasional drawings in the book that contain female nudity. When it comes to this manga series, I would recommend it to readers who are sixteen or seventeen years of age and older.
I wrote this review of this manga volume after reading a copy of it that I was given as a birthday present.
