If your kid likes the movie, he'll love the book tooFeb 20, 2007
By H. Kagle Our toddler has had a Kiki obsession ever since we showed him the movie. We bought him this book and the Totoro book and he loves both - so much that we no longer watch the movies. The books are long and filled with lots of pictures from the movies. They are broken into chapters so you can read one or two before bedtime. You pretty much need to love the movies before reading the books. The stories in the books are only highlights of the movies but still do a good job of capturing the interesting moments.

My 2-yr old loves it!Jan 18, 2008
By D. Smith My 2 yr old has become obsessed with Miyazaki's films, so this story book allows her to continue this love as a bedtime story too. It also gives me a good visual reference to redraw her favourite scenes on request. This edition follows the movie faithfully and is packed with large still pictures from the movie itself. Kiki is a delightful character and her story will thrill kids of all ages (including thirtysomething yr-old animation fans).

Movie MangaAug 22, 2007
By W. Whitby
"Children's Museum Programs Guy"
A fun picture retelling of the film with a "manga" feel. We have a copy of the same thing in the Japanese (purchased at the Ghibli Museum), so it was fun to get a version that our young readers could read on their own. A fairly easy read for middle readers. A nice, concise retelling without cumbersome details. The manga-like character introduction at the beginning was a fun touch.
beautiful book for miyazaki loversJan 16, 2011
By K. Barr Our whole family love all of miyazaki's movies and Kiki's Delivery Service as well as My Neighbor Tortoro are my son's very favorite movies. When I saw these books, I just knew he'd love them... and of course, I was right. They are his most treasured Christmas presents this year. The books are detailed, thick and beautifully done. We also got Ponyo, and he is delighted with all of them.

By anaismama We have the Kiki VHS and DVD and the kids love it. The book is a nice compliment to the movie.
