Among the quiet villages and towns of 18th century Europe, demons known as the Ill hide within the most beautiful works of art, sparked to life by the torment of their creators. Attracted by their jewel-like allure, the unwary find themselves possessed by the Ill and driven to horrific acts of violence. Only the hunters of the Ciste Vihad can dispel the Ill. March is one such hunter, tracking the Ill from town to town to find the antiques that contain the demons before they can possess anyone. If the worst has come to pass, March's full powers are unleashed to battle the fiendish Ill. Born of tragedy, the artifacts all have their own tales to tell, as do each of their victims. But March's story may be the most tragic of all. | | | Product Details: | | | Author:

Natsume Yuujinchou's heart with D.Gray-Man's actionDec 23, 2010
By Anna Hoffman Hyung Min Kim and Kyun Il Yang come together to write a story that is both dark and hopeful and a protagonist who is more than what he appears to be. While the story treads some familiar territory - demons, exorcism, picking up things that you shouldn't - it also takes a unique path. March Story employs both humor and tragedy to highlight the emotional center of its characters.
For those who have read Natsume Yuujinchou (Natsume's Book of Friends) or D.Gray-Man and enjoyed those series will probably also enjoy March Story. Do take note of the 'explicit content' sticker, as there are some more adult themes and images in the manga.
I eagerly await the second volume's release!

I am glad that I picked this up!Sep 13, 2011
By Senna I have been eying this up at Borders for the last few weeks as the prices on everything kept going down. I was wary about buying it since it was wrapped up and I couldn't preview it before buying it. I should have bought it sooner rather than risking somebody else getting it. I went the other day and everything was 90% off and March Story was still there. Needless to say I bought it and I don't regret it. It isn't a perfect story, but I love all of the details in the artwork. I don't like the simplicity in the majority of manga I've come across so this was a pleasant surprise.
The story was interesting enough to get me to keep turning the pages and wanting to read more. It was predictable in some aspects where others caught me by surprise. I'm usually good at figuring everything out! You should give this story a shot, I do not think that you will regret it.

Great set of stories, can't wait for moreMar 17, 2011
By Manga Fan A lengthy, vivid, and filling manga. Nice re-imagining of 18th century Eastern Europe, and a pleasent ride the whole way through.
" "Things that should not be touched by humans somehow find their way into this world. That's why you should never, ever touch anything that is foreign." Follow the adventures of March, a Syste Behard, who hunts ils- evil creatures that lurk in fascinating objects."
Highly recommended
Great Start To A Promising SeriesDec 13, 2011
By Sammie The art is amazing, the story's original and the characters are captivating...I'm hooked! I really enjoyed reading this and look forward to getting my hands on future volumes and whatever else the artist might be releasing in the future.
March Story is at times tragic, and other times funny, but regardless of the outcome you can't help but feel connected to the characters. They feel very 3dimensional and thought-through. And although sometimes predictable the stories are catching and thought-provoking.
Nice start.Nov 26, 2011
By Farzana Tariq Beautiful artwork graces every page of this, the story although still shrouded in mystery, seems promising so far, and the characters are interesting. If you're into gothic type stories, (black butler/vampire knight) this would be a good read.
