Clarification for other reviewJun 15, 2008
By Awesome Man This collection has the stories 'Mermaid's Gaze' and 'Mermaid's Mask,' both in full. It is not a repackaging, but it IS a re-released version. The original release titled each collection separately, by the title of the main story (Mermaid Forest, Mermaid Scar, Mermaid Gaze). In this new release, each collection is titled as Mermaid Saga, and numbers four volumes instead of three. Kind of like they did with Ranma 1/2, Inu-Yasha, and Maison Ikkuko, to cite a few examples.

WATCH OUT - OLD MATERIAL, NEW COVER!May 17, 2005
By Okapi As a huge fan of Takahashi's Mermaid stories, I was excited to see that a new volume had come out. The original graphic novels are Mermaid Forrest, Mermaid's Scar, and Mermaid's Gaze. This volume is numbered 4, to give the impression that there are new tales here, but don't be fooled! This volume is simply Mermaid's Gaze republished with a new title and cover (it is also printed back to front). If you don't have this already, I highly recommend it, but I do think publisher Viz pulled a fast one on Takihashi's fans here.
