4Great Naruto RPGSep 25, 2009

This games captures the essence of the world of Naruto and allows you to play with almost every character you would want to from the Hidden Leaf and Sand Village. The story could be a little stronger and after playing Bleach: 3rd Phantom RPG, I would have incorporated Bleach's story design (like watching the cartoon) and individual fight scenes after you've chosen your opponent and move (attack, justus, etc.). I also wish they made it a little more difficult as it only took several hours to complete the entire game. Overall, great start to Naruto RPG line and I hope they continue to develop more within this genre (maybe mix in a little Final Fantasy Tactics where you can develop your own character through the Shinobi ranks)!

2Path of the Ninja, uh, 3? No, 2.5, uh...Mar 10, 2009
By Karen C. Beverage "cartooncrazy"
I think this game was horribly misnamed. I understand keeping "Path of the Nijna" as the title as it follows the same RPG-esqe combat and levelling system as its predecessor. HOWEVER, it cannot be called a sequel to the original Path of the Ninja.

For those of you familiar with the series, this game doesn't pick up where the last one left off. In fact, it skips somewhere between 30 and 40 episodes. Tsunade is already Hokage, Sasuke has already left, and the Sand has returned to being allies of the Leaf. The last game left off on Episode 80. These conditions dictate a start somewhere around 120.

Not only that, but the story doesn't follow the series like the the first Path of the Ninja *AT ALL* but rather includes an entirely new storyline that is, how should I say?, predictable, basic, and overly-linear. Plus, I beat story mode (the only mode I cared about) in just under 10 hours. Pfft.

In summation: if you love Naruto (as I do), you will probably find this game enjoyable (especially since the price went down). But if you DO love Naruto, be aware that this no longer follows the series (or for that matter, its predecessor) chronologically.

2Its an okay game.....Aug 15, 2011
By H. Amireh
Story mode+Introduction: This game, when you beat it and evaluate everything about it, the bottom line description comes down to this. Its an okay game. The game is pretty fun, it has items, armor, and weapons you can buy to make your characters stronger. The difficulty I'd say is between Medium and Hard. You'll never beat the game if you don't do any (to the side) training, like you have to take training breaks every while or else you'll never get past this game. If you just do what the storyline tells you to and never do any training you'll probably end up never getting past the 1st boss(like some reviewer who badly rated this game). But even with that extra training, the story mode is never really easy, and its really hard at the final boss. I always do extra training and have lots of good items, yet i died at the final boss many times before i finally beat him. At some points you may get frustrated with the difficulty of this game, but whenever you get stuck just search online for help like at GameFAQs(a site i recommend). so for the story mode id give it 4/5 stars.

Online multiplayer: There is also online multiplayer in this game. However don't get your hopes up because nobody ever go's on it so its rare to even find one person to play with. And plus even if you do, chances are hes a rage quiter(somebody who shuts off their DS when they are about to lose) since most of the people who play online are rage quiters. So online multiplayer gets a straight 0/5 stars.

DS Single Card play: Yes there is DS download play. however its not very good since the people who download the game cant actually play with you. it just puts them against 2 random computer players. So this gets 3/5 stars

PROS VS -----------------------------------------------------CONS
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Story mode--------------------------------------------------Online multiplayer
-Ds download play(single card play)--------------------------Story mode is short
-Lots of naruto characters-----------------------------------Difficulty can be frustrating
-Items, weapons, and armor-----------------------------------People who download it cant play with you
-Lots of Naruto enemies and Bosses---------------------------Graphics
-You can level up your characters and they get stronger------Enemy encounters get boring and tedious

OVERALL: This is an okay game, it just gets EXTREMELY boring after you beat it because then there's nothing to do. (and you beat it really fast since its really short. So... should you buy it? If you think $14 is worth it and your child really likes rpg games, then i guess. But if your looking for a game that will entertain your child for many weeks(or months) then this isn't the game to get.

so it gets 2/5 stars overall and 3/5 stars fun because of story mode.

I am going to keep this short and sweet, this game is pretty fun, but it is very short, i beat it in 8 hours, and at 80 hours everyone is lvl 99 and has the best gear
