Naruto Uncut Box SetFeb 11, 2010 Cons:
The DVD's are scratched. It just shows how low of a quality Viz Media's distribution center is.

saeason 1 box set part 1Jan 22, 2010 i am very disapointed with myself if i knew there was going to be naruto set like this i would not have bought box set 1 & 2 but its only 2 boxes so i cant complain much on good side this set is 10 less from the 3 disk box sets that where released before and comes with 6 disks.
my only complaint about this set is it does not come with bookelet or an episode guide on each disk prince of tennis comes with an episode wuide and on the opposite side of the same poster are the episodes dont see why they couldnt with these sets.
i know anime is originated in japan but come do soemthing could you in the japanese anime series dbz, naruto, onepiece, & others they had american versions f the intors of the series with american music yes im american and there some anime series that i like anime music in the intors, & endgin music but the ending in the dbz, naruto uncut box set season 1 vol. 2 ending music puts me to sleep & other series could some of these anime series at least come with anime language, subtitles, english subtitles, & english music as shown from cartoon network some of the music from cartoon network fits with dbz uncut episodes but the japanese music dosent fit to well its out of place and seomtimes depressing & mainly puts me to sleep dbz, & dbgt is fighting series its not a series that has happy music playing for ending credits or the intro of the series dbz is a series that has music that fits really well with rock music and up beat not japanese music that has depressing, sad, music added to it give these anime series some upbeat music to it that fits the theme to these series anime companies

Stellar Series at an Amazing Price! A Naruto Fan 4 Life!Dec 24, 2009 Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3OO391BJ92DME I've always been a fan of Naruto. I like the drawing style and character design very much. It's unique and has a style all its own. Very much like Dragonball Z. However, I've actually never seen a single episode. I rarely get to watch TV anymore and whenever I pass the DVD aisle at my local video store, I always see Naruto individual DVDs and box sets on sale. I always have the insatiable urge that entices me to want to spend and splurge money on Naruto DVDs, but I never do. The individual EDITED discs are at twenty dollars a pop for a few episodes and the UNCUT box sets that only contain a few episodes can range up to sixty bucks. It just never seemed worth it to be at that price. I just felt like Viz Video was milking this money making machine to death with the double, or triple dipping as I like to call it. I knew with time that the complete box sets would be just around the corner. Good things do come to those who wait.
Low and behold, the Naruto season one volume one comes out and at such a great price (For under thirty bucks) and I am a full blown Naruto fan for life now. When I popped in disc one I thought I would dislike the show because it starts off with Naruto being very immature, running around, acting up, and laughing like a fool, and the voice actor wasn't doing much for me. I have a strange feeling he is voiced by a woman for some reason. But about fifteen minutes into the show for episode one, things started to unravel and the story finally kicked in. The pace of the show changes dramatically from light heart students at a ninja academy who joke around to a serious story developing and waiting in the wings.
This is a must have for any fan of art, comics, cartoons, and anime. You don't have to be a fan of anime to enjoy this show, but I know you will love it. The box set comes in this plastic case with six discs inside and I am so happy it's not a cardboard paper case with thin plastic sleeves - Hundred and hundreds of minutes of sheer anime entertainment. I much prefer this over the old packaging. Interesting story line and overall it's a lush intricate story about a boy who is experiencing social displacement and finding his own place in the world of life.
a great value for what its worth: Naruto season 1 part 1Nov 19, 2009 this review like my other reviews will be in 2 parts, packaging and content(fyi: this is my first review for amazon.)
PACKAGING
this set is contained in a double wide dvd case. (pretty much a dvd case that is as big as 2 dvd cases.) it houses the disc in its own little "page". that has 2 discs on each "page". this is 6 discs long, and there are about 4 episodes to a disc. its not a greatly impressive package. (an example of an impressive package would be the first 3 bleach boxsets)
CONTENT
this set has alot for one boxset, containing the first 1 1/2 arcs (the 1/2 represents the "intro" arc that is like the first 6 episodes) the definite highlight of the boxset is the zabuza/haku fights, they are really exciting for the first arc. the fights do take a little long, but at least it doesnt take as long as dbz... there are obvious nods to classic shonen in it's original story structure. ( the "i will be the best" kinda thing") nonetheless, naruto gets off to a good start in this boxset, and it only gets better from here....well until the filler settles in at least!
overall:BUY. its only about 20 dollars and the story kicks off to a good start!

Nice and conciseOct 14, 2009 This case is a standard double-wide DVD case. The art is just slipped behind the clear plastic sleeve. No need to worry about scuffing up a sleeve or cardboard fold out packaging. This does not include any booklets, pamphlets, or other paperwork. The only thing inside is the six DVDs. Each one is a different color with a different character on it. This case is a standard six-disc DVD case, each disc is on it's own 'page' that you can flip, similar to the case seen here [...]
Picture and sound quality are nice and clean. This dvd has a 4:3 picture, and you can choose either English or Japanese audio (with subtitles.
I would have given 5 stars if it included more fanboy items, like an artbook or something, but I honestly can't complain.
