5Naruto for cheap for longtime Naruto fansMar 22, 2010
By L. D. Dinoso
These box sets are wonderful for the person that just wants to buy the episodes for cheap. This set includes the English dub version and the original Japanese version (with subtitles). As indicated, this is the uncut version, so there will be mild swearing and more blood than originally broadcasted on television. And again, the special features aren't really special.

This set has 27 episodes in it (Episodes 26-52). The first episode is actually a recap episode, so really you're only getting 26 new episodes. This volume covers 2 story arcs:

The first arc centers around the Second part of the Chunin Exam, in the Forest of Death.

The second arc is the Preliminary Rounds where Naruto and the other ninja face off against each other in One-on-One matches.

And the last episode in this volume includes the first appearance of Jiraiya.

A lot of good juicy stuff going on in this volume. We get some major character and plot development. It's not a volume to be missed. If you just want the episodes for cheap, then this is a good buy for you.

5GREAT DVDSep 13, 2010
By ezelogs
Great DVD. Dubbing is very good. the casing, cover and the dvd itself is pretty neat.
The bad thing about this is the Dub and Sub are not saying exactly the same thing. But all in all. it's a great item.

4Naruto Uncut Box Set: Season One, Vol.2Jan 13, 2011

When buying says Japanese as Language only. This is not true you have the option to have voice in Japanese or ENGLISH.

3An economical repackaging of Naruto Uncut Boxes 3 & 4Aug 30, 2011
By Lesley Aeschliman
The Naruto Uncut Season One Volume 2 box set is a six DVD set that contains episodes twenty-six through fifty-two of the Naruto anime series. The first disc contains five episodes, the second disc contains four episodes, the third disc contains four episodes and bonus features, the fourth and fifth discs contain five episodes, and the sixth disc contains four episodes and bonus features.

This is a "bare bones" release; there are no booklets or inserts included in the set. When it comes to the actual discs in this set, they are basically the discs from Naruto Uncut Box Set 3 and Naruto Uncut Box Set 4, with minor changes made to the bonus features included on the third and sixth discs.

The first bonus feature on the third disc is labeled as "Production Art." This consists of ten pages of model sketches of some of the Naruto characters. The next feature is a preview for Naruto Shippuden. This is followed by "From Sketch to Screen Episode 33," which is eight pages of storyboards. For each storyboard, you can choose to see the clip that the storyboard is for. In the extras, you can also see the English credits. A link labeled as "Shonen Jump Home Video" is a link to three trailers. There is also "Shonen Jump Magazine & Manga," which has ads for Shonen Jump magazine, an ad for the Naruto manga, and two ads for other Shonen Jump manga titles.

The first bonus feature on the sixth disc is "Production Art," which includes ten more pages of model sketches of the characters. The next feature is the exact same preview for Naruto Shippuden that appears on the third disc. After that is "From Sketch to Screen Episode 40." Like the "From Sketch to Screen" on the third disc, this feature has eight pages of storyboards, and you can choose to see the clip that the storyboard is for. You can also see the English credits on this disc. The link for "Shonen Jump Home Video" includes the exact same trailers that appeared for this feature on the third disc. This is also the case for the "Shonen Jump Magazine & Manga" section of the extras.

If you enjoy Naruto and haven't already bought the Naruto Uncut sets, this would be an economical way to get the episodes on DVD. You get double the amount of content of the original sets, but pay about the same amount as you would have for those original sets. However, if you do purchase this set, just be warned that Viz Media didn't go to a lot of effort when combining Naruto Uncut Sets 3 and 4 together to make this set.

I wrote this review after watching a copy of this DVD box set that I purchased.

The last time i wrote a review was one the first volume of this season, and might i say was not in best condition. But now that i recieved the second volume, i see that it is in top form with no misplaced discs and no broken locks to support the discs. I once again trust amazon with its incredible shipping. The series is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
