5Great game for Naruto fans, and pretty good for gamersApr 18, 2008
By Jaynubian
I am a novice gamer so personally, I enjoyed the first Uzumaki Chronicles. I was challenged in the first one and expecting much more from the second installment. It is true that Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles 2 was much better than the first. The story is original, yet fitting, the music is better and more varied, and there are more characters to play.

The story starts with the Sand Ninja Kankuro and his puppets. He tells Naruto about a puppet wielding clan, the Shirogane Clan and their quest to gather the Spirit Orbs. It's up to you, Naruto, and your friends to unravel the mystery of the clan and the "puppetwalkers" & why they crave wanting the Spirit Orbs so bad.

The fact that you and a friend can play together is a plus. Like any game, it has it's bosses that can be tough. Too tough in fact, so you may need to go with a strategy guide. This game will appeal to all Naruto fans. The cut scenes and the graphics are improved form the first, but still a bit choppy. I guess it's a PS2 thing. The fighting is definitely better and not as predictable or repetitive as the first one. I loved the skill plate system in the first one and it returns here. If you are not an experienced super gamer, but a Naruto, fan this is right up your alley.

4Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles 2...........Nov 15, 2007
By blackaciddevil
As disappointed as I was, personally, with the first Uzumaki Chronicles; I wasn't expecting much from the second installment. Yet, I was surprised to find out that Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles 2 was much better. This installment gets things better by making things more cohesive with a deeper storyline(more about that in a moment), a better soundtrack that fits the Naruto Universe, more characters to play, and the skill plate & leveling system.

The story, which is an original storyline-btw, tells about Naruto and his friends investigating the Shirogane Clan's interest in something called the Spirit Orbs. It's up to you and your friends to unravel the mystery of the clan and their 'puppetwalkers' & why they crave wanting the Spirit Orbs so bad.

The only downfall to this game is the same problem that plagued the first game. That problem was the fact that it lacked personality & oomph! and that made the game feel too generic(for lack of a better term) and shallow.

Again, this sequel isn't a bad game. Like any game, it has its' fair share of flaws. It will appeal to the Naruto fanbase, I'm sure, but will be a hard sell to everyone else. If they do decide to continue the series on next-generation consoles, I hope they will work on things and, at least, bring it up to the Xbox 360* Naruto Rise of the Ninja standards. While that game has its' share of flaws too; it, at least, feels more like a Naruto game in its' scope.

J'ai acheté ce jeu pour mon fils qui a aimé mais le trouve un peu short à jouer. Cela lui a pris trop peu de temps pour parcourir l'ensemble du cd à son goût.

5Enjoyable Naruto gameDec 31, 2008

I expected the worst because this game got a really score by IGN but then again there have been many low scoring games rated by them that haven't been that bad. With that said, I liked the game. I am familiar with the series so the game filled up part of my expectations.

Graphics: The characters look just like they do in the Anime. The dubbed actors do a decent job with the vocals here. The graphics are decent for the most part again keeping intact how the series looks.

Sound: Sound is great. The music they use fits the environments in the game. As stated they also have the actors do the voices and they seem to have fun with the game.

Challenge: Challenge was ok could have been higher. It's a very easy game for an experience game. With that said, it was still enjoyable to change between characters use their strengths to your advantage.

The story was decent too with the Puppet Walkers and Shirogane clan.

The game comes with a couple of other different modes of play. I got this in the bargain bin part of Blockubuster and for the most part I thought it was worth getting. Definite fun.
