4Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles........Dec 03, 2006
By blackaciddevil
As much as I liked Naruto: Ultimate Ninja, my feelings are mixed at best with Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles. While the game looks absolutely stunning, the gameplay is quite fun and the developer who made the game made good use of the license; something just doesn't quite feel right about it. Given- it does take a fresh approach to things that other anime licenses should follow in their games and that's a good thing..yet it could've used a little more, how shall we say, personality and drama like the anime takes. It would've been nice to see things more fleshed out and, if this series should continue, that is something the developers can correct next game. See, players start the game by receiving "D" and "C" class missions and work their way up from there. Missions are what make up the game and, when there isn't much of a story for the reason why you're doing what you're doing, it doesn't really validate why you're doing what you're doing so you end up not feeling like you've accomplished anything but fighting endless waves of baddies and completing tasks required of you as Naruto or one of his cast. Players can modify a "Skill Plate" by earning a form of currency, known as "Virtue", and buying new abilities which helps the game out quite a bit.

Overall, Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles isn't a bad game. Like any other game, it has its' flaws. It's definitely a game any Naruto fan should check out. It plays like a 3-D Final Fight. But, be warned, it is a fairly short game so don't come into it expecting a length as something such as Grand Theft Auto or a game of that nature.

5Naruto ReviewDec 27, 2006

This game has many positive sides to it, as well as the 3d environments and second-hand characters available for use. With many of the 25 missions, they are pretty challenging and that's what I like..challenging missions. With the awesome effects of the actual environmental movement and enemies randomly spawning to attack you, it's gotta be a good game to me. That's why I got the game, and enjoyed it very much! This game has all the good parts to it at full perfection. Make more! Because, if this was just the cream of the crop, I want to see the next line of awesomeness. With the very good sides to this game, I will probably enjoy all the next games if they are made. I mean, this game really dragged me. It was the best Naruto game I've played for a LONG time, other than that, please..please..bring in the next line of Naruto gaming. Thank you!

3weak.......Nov 29, 2006

if you expect to see some content in this game, DO NOT get this game. and WARNING. this game is not the same as what you see in its trailers online. this game was originally made in japan. the most important portions of its original content have been modified for the US version. all the super cool characters and storylines have been cut out to avoid spoiler for its TV episodes.
i first thought this game would take weeks to finish. but it only took me 5 days!!!!!! unbelievably ridiculous.

5Great GameDec 29, 2006

This game is a must buy for Naruto fans. On some missions you can choose Neji, Shikamaru, Choji or Sasuke to be your ally. After you beat the game one you unlock Kakashi and Gaara. They even have the characters special moves.
Neji- 8 Trigrams 64 Palms and Rotation.
Shikamaru- Trap kunai and Shadow Possession
Choji- Partial Expansion and Human Boulder
Sasuke- Phoenix Flower and Chidori
Kakashi- 1000 Years of Death and Lightning Blade
Gaara- Desert Coffin and

Overall this is a good game the ONLY downside is that it can be beat in about 9 1/2 hours.

3Ehh not that Impressive........Oct 07, 2007
By Lisa S. Gerena "???????????"
This game is was mercilessly slaughtered by the dubbing demons at Bandai Namco Games....................the original Japanese version was a lot better than the English version but as is the case with most games it was horrifically mauled for it US release. First the Good. It's a solid fighter and you can play as naruto and you could use the then unknown attack to most US fans the Rasengan. Next the bad which is pretty much everything else...............The combat easily gets annoying after the 5th fight you get into and has little variety to it, the English voice cast is so annoying that it makes me want to crack my skull open, and what was supposed to be cool the ability to change into other Characters really annoys you because of the stupid time limit. I loved the Japanese version of the game because of the boss battles but guess what???? They cut the best boss battle out of the whole game!!!!! Yes that's right, I bet you didn't know this but In the Japanese version of the Game you have this God Awesome battle against Itachi which was easily the coolest part of the game.....................another change they did was they removed Tsunade from the main menu, and the mission select menu.........In the end I only recommend this game to Naruto nuts, this is definitely not a game for the luke warm fan, and if you don't mind all the cuts and horrific voice cast, and no plot what so ever its an ok game.
