Japan's most controversial anime series is over...but not the manga version of Neon Genesis Evangelion! Series co-creator Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's personal interpretation of the Evangelion characters and story is sure to intrigue new and old fans alike. In 2015, the ""Angels"" have returned, and Shinji Ikari, a fourteen year-old child of the new Earth, is forced by his father Gendo--commander of the secret organization NERV--to pilot the monstrous biomechanical weapon called ""Evangelion"" to match the Angels' fearsome power...

5The End?Apr 20, 2011

I got this manga thinking it was the last volume in the series. Been waiting almost 2 years to read it and it's the BIGGEST cliff hanger of an ending. Can't really call it an ending, the manga leaves off before anything super important happens so this isn't the conclusion at all. Almost a filler really. Makes me sad to think but I cannot find a volume 13.

5Amazing ArtworkApr 23, 2011
By Joshua M. Brooks "Manga Lover :D"
I recommend all of the Evangelion volumes to anyone who likes action and mecha with a story unlike any other anime out there. In this volume, it basically starts off "The End of Evangelion" and closely follows the movie with some differences, such as Asuka temporarily coming out of her psychological coma to strangle Shinji and Misato's final moments. Brilliant artwork. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and Kouji Seo (Creator of "Suzuka") are the best Manga-kas of all time. If you're a fan of the anime series then I suggest you pick up the manga, you won't be disappointed.

4Evangelion 12Feb 24, 2011

A decent issue, not overly done with dialog. NERV is being eliminated with extreme prejudice, Misato completes her mission with the boy Shinji. Whatever your opinion of him this issue won't change it. She tells Shinji the truth about the Angels and Humans and tries to get him to make the right choices. When the attackers close in on her she has one last surprise to spring on them before joining the Ancestors. Asuka is at her Angel butt kicking best. Some things are different from the anime.
