5Augh, such a cliffhanger!May 02, 2010
I just got my copy of Otomen vol. 6 and blazed through it (laughing) in about 20 minutes. I'll go back and read it again later, but the cliffhanger of "the guy we thought was Asuka's dad" from vol. 5 was sort of brushed off fairly quickly, as was the Beauty Samurai theme. Then we had everyone's favorite girly-man Yamato coming to Asuka for date advice, for a surprising love interest. In this volume we get a lot of Kitora (flower guy) and not much Juta, but that's OK because the overall volume is great. Towards the end it seemed we have the appearance of a new otomen, one who likes girly music...but this book ended on a big cliffhanger...so I'm going to preorder volume 7 right when I finish writing this review. More Otomen! Please!
