Description:

Kyoko is determined to win her way into show business, even if it means wearing embarrassing bright pink overalls and putting up with spoiled stars. But her first big assignment is proving more difficult than she imagined when Kyoko finds herself in front of the camera with an injured leg. Will she be able to ace her first attempt at acting despite the pain, or will she make an utter fool of herself in front of her sort-of nemesis, Ren Tsugura?

5Skip Beat own my heart!May 07, 2007
I love, love, love, this manga. It's funny, touching, and just flat out wonderful. Kyoko is trying her best to pursue her dream of revenge against, Sho, her crush who dumped her once he made it big as an idol. Kyoko's determined to get her revenge by outshining him in show business and she's taken the first step by landing a small acting gig. Things are starting to look up! However being a "Love Me" memeber at LME agency means that she also has to do what her supervisors say and her supervisor wants her to fill in for a sick manager. The actor she'll be managing? Ren, the superstar that hates her! But this time Kyoko's determined to get full marks on this job. The only trouble is that being a manager is alot more work then she thought especially when Ren gets sick. Kyoko may be in over her head but all her TLC has Ren thinking that maybe he misjudged her.
Skip Beat is well draw and I love, love, love the characters. Kyoko is so layered! She's so, tough and sweet yet vunerable, that it's hard not to love her. All the guys are gorgeous, even the evil Sho, and the chemistry between Ren and Kyoko has me dying to see them smooch! This is a very funny, fast paced, sweet, not enough wonderful adjectives to descibe it, series. It's one of my favirotes and this latest volume has me beaming from ear to ear.

5Awesome!Apr 19, 2007
Kyoko continues to compete with Ruriko for the spot in the movie, but her foot is sprained and it could become a fracture. So what should she do in a scene where she has to kneel for fifteen minutes straight? Later on, she has to pass an acting challenge given to her by jealous girls in the training class that she's applying for. And what's this?! Moko-san is the new member for the Love-Me section?!

I really liked this volume a lot, and I liked how Kyoko was so determined to beat Ruriko, even though she was in a lot of pain. And I also enjoyed the introduction of the characters Maria and Moko, even though they both already appeared in Vol. 1. I thought that Maria was interesting, because she's obsessed with Ren(even though she's only 7), but she's a lot like Kyoko. She believes that her father hates her for killing her mother, and doesn't trust adults at all. And I admire Kyoko's creativity for inventing a character for a play on such short notice. A Must Read!!!!!!

I like the story inside about acting mostly, interesting when I saw the character inside has the same experience about what happened in her reality and her acting scripts so she could act it so natural.
