Description:

All Kyoko's dreams are coming true! She's got a best friend (okay, so Moko still needs to come to terms with their bosom-buddyhood, but she's learning). She's finally going to high school (so what if a mean girl is picking on her--Kyoko knows how to deal with bullies). And she's landed a spot in Sho's new video (Yes! Revenge! Bwa ha ha ha!). Life doesn't get any better than this.

5The Best Skip Beat Yet!Jun 22, 2007
By Hakajin "Ecclectic Student"
I really don't know how Nakamura does it, but "Skip Beat" just keeps getting better and better.

There's some good interaction between Kyoko and Ren in the beginning. This is not only sweet, it also helps to develop the relationship between them. Ren is really starting to be more gentle to Kyoko and respect her more as an actress.

Most of the story is devoted to Kyoko's participation in a music video featuring her sworn enemy, Sho. She thinks it will be best if Sho doesn't realize who she is, so she pretends to be someone else. Trouble is, she has a hard time covering up her red-hot rage.

This was the funniest volume I've read so far. Kyoko is hilarious when she tries to cover up her personality to Sho. It also has some really touching moments. Oh, and it is so satisfying to see Sho actually feeling threatened by Kyoko. Best volume yet, don't hesitate to buy it.

The book arrived to me just fine and within a decent amount of time. I love the series so no complaints there.

The plot in Skip Beat! keeps getting better. Kyoko finishes up her job as Ren's manager and he starts to slowly respect her more since she seems to be forgetting about her revenge. He just hopes that Sho and Kyoko don't meet so that Kyoko can forget about her revenge completely.

The commercial with Kyoko and Moko is aired. LME gets an offer for Moko and Kyoko to be in a promotional video, which just happens to be Sho's! Moko got a part in a drama, so she won't be in the PV. At first Kyoko doesn't accept the offer, but then after some reconsidering concerning her revenge plan, she decides to go for it.

Since she just goes by the name 'Kyoko' Sho can't tell whether it is her or not. Kyoko wants to use this to her advantage, so she keeps her demons under control. Eventually, thanks to her obsession with fairytales, there is a funny scene where Sho is triumphant in proving that it is her.

Even though he knows it is Kyoko, Sho doesn't fire her since he still thinks that Kyoko can't harm him. In the PV she plays angel, and when she comes out in costume, Sho is stunned. This causes a problem since the girl that Kyoko is working with in the PV is a Sho fan and is annoyed how Sho looked at Kyoko.

So pretty much, Kyoko needs to use her acting skills to show two people who she doesn't like just how good she is.
