Love HurtsJun 02, 2010
By Kellyannl This volume of Vampire Knight begins with the end of the epic battle for Cross Academy, with the main group being led by Kain and Ruka securing the perimeter, Aido actually earning his nickname by defending the girl's dorm against anything that got through, and a disturbing flash of what has transpired with Ichijo. But the main focus is on the two conjoining love triangles of the series.
With Yuki realizing that she has lost the life she has known, Kaname is gentleman enough to allow her a final conversation with Zero, while we get confirmation of something that's only been lightly hinted at thus far as we find out that Kain is far from okay with the way Kaname has been treating Ruka.
The intense goodbye between Yuki and Zero is gutwrenching and arguably the most emotional chapter of the entire series so far. Kain has always been one of the most likeable characters in the series with his laid-back good nature and wry humor but hasn't really gotten the spotlight much aside from the Victim of Circumstance side story, and the chapter dedicated to him has been a long time in coming. He goes beyond being Aido's straight man and Ruka's friendly shoulder to cry on now as we find out that Ruka has ironically been unintentionally doing the same thing to him that Kaname has been doing to her and twisting the knife in every time she goes running to him angsting over Kaname. When he calls Kaname on his behavior towards Ruka with calm, quiet dignity, it makes us like and respect him even more.
Another winner leaving the series at a crossroad at which it can go many different ways.
Best 10th volume of V.K.Mar 27, 2012
By Cory Loves Breathe Carolina I loved the 10th volume of Vampire Knight. Yuki Kuran stopped Zero by getting the Bloody rose gun out of Zero's hand, it was creepy when he carried it around. So it was very sad that the moon dormitory was destroyed, by Rido's servers and Rido himself, but he's gone now. Yori misses Yuki so much, since Yuki is leaving Cross Academy. Kaname, Yuki, and the rest of the Night Class leaves Cross Academy at the end of the volume. Yes I did enjoy the 10th volume of this series.

Dogmatic ResponsesOct 31, 2011
By Candy Gambin I don't have a clue about the book; I bought it for my daughter. The anime they show here in Australia is ok though. She is really into Vampires, and since she lives so far away, I only wanted to get her a nice gift through an American company. Besides, I grew out of Vampires after my teen years.
