4Beginning the rest of her lifeJun 07, 2011
By Kellyannl
This volume of Vampire Knight begins with Zero - soon backed up by Yuki and Aido, who now appears to be filling the same role for the new Queen as Seiren holds for Kaname - dropping everything to try to extract Yori from her precarious situation, as an unpleasant event takes place with a connection to what has been happening to Ichijo. The main focus of the volume, however, is Yuki making a decision as to how she will define the rest of her life and shape it with purpose.

Yuki's reunion with an enthusiastic Yori and a chilly Zero is bittersweet, underlining what she can never get back now, but things do go a bit better for her this time around than they have before. In particular, she also receives Shiki as a visitor for the first time since their relationship was revealed, and he warmly acknowledges her as his cousin. This not only says alot about Shiki considering his miserable luck with family, but also gives us hope that there's someone else in addition to Aido to whom Yuki can turn if the going gets tough. Speaking of Aido, his relationship with Yuki continues to be one of the series' highlights, as he gets pulled collaterally into her decision knowing that he's probably going to pay for it but unable to help himself for reasons which it's painfully obvious aren't all about visions of Kaname flaying him alive if anything happens to Yuki. It will be interesting to see the circumstances when he finally realizes himself that he's actually fond of her.

Ending with some intriguing details and hints for those who want to see some background for Yuki's foster father Kaien Cross, this volume feels like the calm before the storm of the next whirlwind of events which will undoubtedly hit Yuki, Zero, and the former Night Class.

5I liked the 12th volumeMay 11, 2012

I love the 12th volume of Vampire Knight. So it continues from the end of the 11th volume of the manga series. My favorite part was when Zero, Sayori "Yori", and Kaito came to the Kuran mansion to visit Yuki. Yori was the one who wanted to visit Yuki Kuran, she misses her best friend so much since Yuki moved to the Kuran residence after the huge battle a year ago. I did enjoy the 12th volume of Vampire Knight.

5Great Series For Vampire Lovers!Dec 13, 2011
By Cletus
I've always been a big fan of this series because I love a good romance. It reminds me of how high school can be because of all the drama and the girls having crushes on the boys and stuff like that.Yet,I find myself sitting with these books unable to put them down every time I get one. I have volumes 1-12 and I would recommend them to anyone. To me I think since everyone's into vampires nowadays it would be a GREAT book to get for someone who's into them. I just hope they enjoy it as much as I did and I can't wait till the next book comes out and the one after that!

The 12th volume of vampire knight is a must have for anyone who enjoys the series. The story takes place exactly where volume 11 left off. Readers will enjoy several new developments in the story.
